Aaron supports clients by guiding them through every step of the audit process. His clients include real estate & property, project management, hospitality & financial services companies. Aaron and the team carry out assurance services, including application of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, in particular FRS 102 and section 1A accounting.

Adam works with a range of corporate clients including tech, SMEs and start-ups. Typically, Adam’s clients face challenges such as outdated accounting software and procedures. The team therefore manage the process of updating systems, transferring to the cloud and automating traditionally manual processes.

Adam is a UK Chartered Accountant and US Certified Public Accountant specialising in providing audit services to private companies reporting under both UK GAAP and IFRS. He supports clients across a number of sectors including real estate, professional and IT services, manufacturing, retail and hospitality. Having worked in the US and in transaction support, Adam also has experience in acquisition due diligence.

Akin and his team provide expert tax and probate advice to individuals, trusts and estates. Akin’s focus is on wealth preservation from a tax perspective. He helps high-net-worth individuals and their families to protect their wealth throughout their lives through careful planning. Akin advises on all aspects of tax planning and compliance reporting for those with complicated financial affairs, often in multiple jurisdictions. He specialises in assisting international private clients with tax advice when they’re investing in or moving to/from the UK. His team works collaboratively with our Financial Planning team to provide clients with an overarching picture of their financial affairs and a tax-efficient financial plan to help them achieve their goals. A CTA and ATT member, Akin is recognised in the eprivateclient 50 Most Influential list, Chambers High Net Worth Guide, and Spears index.

Akolade helps clients remain compliant within both US and UK tax jurisdictions and advises on the preparation of US and UK tax returns. This allows him to efficiently review how the US/UK tax treaty can be used to the client’s benefit. He works with a wide range of clients, the majority being US citizens who reside in the UK. Akolade also manages US State Income Tax, US gift tax returns and UK non-resident Capital Gains Tax returns. Additionally, he provides comprehensive tax planning advice in respect of US and UK tax and residency matters. Akolade typically supports clients by providing tax advice on many different actions, such as selling a property, gifting assets, and investing in certain assets or funds. Akolade is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Enrolled Agent (EA) and is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT).

Alastair leads the Business Tax team, creating practical, tax-efficient solutions for businesses and their owners. His experience spans company and partnership structuring, cross-border planning, succession strategies and corporate transactions, including negotiating appropriate warranties and indemnities. He advises on business structuring, acquisitions, disposals, and employee incentivisation, always balancing commercial goals with tax considerations.

Alex leads our Transaction Services team, which has advised on over 75 transactions over the last four years and now has seven dedicated team members. He works with high growth acquisitive businesses who are undertaking expansion through various acquisition strategies. These include corporate acquisitions, buy-and-build strategies, and international expansion (often US firms entering the UK market). Alex also heads up our private equity specialism, advising funds on their investments and acquisitions and acts as a gateway to other Buzzacott private equity support services, including exit, valuation, audit and taxation support. He works with banks, search funds and venture capital funds, performing due diligence on their target businesses. Alex possesses broad sector experience with specialisms in technology and software, professional services, consumer products, and digital media sectors. He is a qualified ACA accountant and has also worked as an auditor for FCA regulated clients, which has translated into Alex becoming a specialist in the FinTech sector.

Alex works with clients who are American citizens and green card holders resident in the UK and abroad as well as UK resident, non-UK domiciled individuals. This includes everyone from high-net-worth individuals to retirees and from employers to sole traders just starting their businesses. For Americans residing abroad, or indeed any taxpayer, there are a myriad of potential pitfalls for the unwary and these can be in areas that should be straightforward. A huge part of Alex’s role is to help his clients navigate these pitfalls and limit their exposure to unreasonable tax liabilities and unnecessary and onerous compliance burdens. In particular, Alex can assist clients with US Federal and State Income Tax returns, foreign account and asset reporting, trust and wealth and estate planning and reporting, UK Income Tax returns and wealth and estate planning. He also works closely with Buzzacott’s Business Tax team, which handles the filing and advice obligations of the client’s companies and businesses. This collaborative relationship helps to simplify his clients’ lives as they can pass information on to one Buzzacott employee and be comfortable it will reach the relevant parties as required. Internally, Alex is a member of Buzzacott’s Technical Committee, where he is involved in the analysis of new legislation and the re-evaluation of older rules, looking for potential planning opportunities and highlighting where issues may be lurking in order to provide guidance to the team as needed

Alison provides audit and advisory services to a wide range of charities and educational institutions, with a particular focus on membership organisations and sports sector entities, including NGBs. Together with Buzzacott colleagues in the tax, VAT consultancy, and financial planning teams, Alison ensures the smooth delivery of a range of complimentary services to her clients. Alison presents at our client seminars and webinars, and internally leads on resourcing.

Allan is a fully qualified UK Chartered Tax Adviser and US Enrolled Agent with 19 years’ experience in the industry. In 2014, Buzzacott established its office in Hong Kong, and after relocating from the UK in 2017, Allan now leads the team there. He serves the US and UK tax needs of his clients who range from high-net-worth individuals with inherited wealth, to owners and managers of small businesses. As well as private individuals, he also has significant experience of advising employers in relation to their globally mobile employees. Allan has also served many non-US citizen clients who have business or investment interests in the US and non-UK resident clients with UK filing requirements arising from their investments in the UK, especially in the property market.

Annabel advises on UK and US tax compliance for American citizens residing in the UK or on assignment with their employer on temporary basis. She also works with high net worth individuals with international tax affairs. Annabel is well rounded when it comes to UK and US tax and commonly advises clients on divorce cases, global mobility, share options and shareholders of controlled foreign corporations. Typically, Annabel’s clients require tax planning in order to minimise double taxation as well as utilising tax reliefs both in the UK and US. Her expertise spans tax advice, compliance, planning, calculations and estimates. Annabel often collaborates with Buzzacott’s Financial Planning team to ensure her clients have the right structure in place to house their requirements, their lifestyle needs are met and they have the correct investments to avoid double taxation. Annabel has a law degree and is CTA, EA and ATT qualified.

Antoine heads our Financial Services Tax team. He has over 20 years’ experience advising the fund and asset management industry, as well as broader financial services businesses, on UK and international tax matters. His expertise covers hedge fund and private equity fund structuring, carried interest planning, transfer pricing, DIMF, IME, salaried member and mixed member reviews, as well as the UK’s offshore reporting fund regime. He works closely with his clients, to understand their needs and find practical, commercial and tax-efficient solutions. Prior to joining Buzzacott, Antoine was a Director at a Big Four and spent ten years at a boutique, including four years in Switzerland.
